United for fairness in the courtroom.
We are a growing coalition of jurors, judges, attorneys, elected officials, activists, and community advocates — bound by a shared belief in fairness and accountability.

We The Jury advocates for clemency for individuals wrongfully sentenced to death through judicial override. Before her term ends, Gov. Ivey must use her executive authority to grant clemency and commute these sentences to life without parole — exactly as their juries originally determined.
Alabama was the last state in the nation to abolish judicial override. By passing Senate Bill 16 in 2017, the Alabama Legislature and Gov. Ivey acknowledged what courts and lawmakers across the country had already concluded: allowing a single elected judge to override a jury's sentencing verdict in capital cases is constitutionally flawed and morally wrong.
Yet today, Alabama continues to carry out death sentences imposed through that same discredited practice.
We The Jury's mission is simple. We are working to ensure Alabama's death penalty system reflects the Constitution, respects the role of the jury, and applies the law fairly and consistently.
